Merchandising:

Our merchandising team is constantly building brands, starting trends, and developing entirely new product categories. These experts roll up their sleeves and advise our brands on the best way to bring our clients what they crave—and what they will be craving soon. Our product pipeline is so robust and exciting that many of the items that will be most in-demand in our stores next year don’t even exist yet. And our merchants don’t stop at selection—they bring the assortment to life through breakthrough curation and storytelling across our stores and digital properties.

Your role at Sephora:
Introduced in 2021 with now more than 1,100 locations, Sephora at Kohl’s is making prestige beauty more accessible to millions of shoppers. Clients can explore the signature Sephora experience within all Kohl’s locations and discover expertly curated assortments of prestige makeup, skincare, hair and fragrance brands. The Sephora at Kohl’s merchandising team is responsible for bringing this experience to life by tailoring and executing the Sephora strategies within Kohl’s environment. In addition, you will: 

• Communicate consistently with internal and external stakeholders to manage and ensure deadlines are met; be a liaison between Kohl’s & Sephora and share information and insights
• Support manager with creation of various presentation materials
• Manage the Sephora @ Kohl’s merchandising calendar & meeting invites
• Provide support to all categories for the Sephora at Kohl’s merchandising team
• Prepare weekly & monthly reports and assist in analyzing the business
• Review & Approve marketing creative for product description accuracy (pricing, name, timing etc…)
• Develop and execute assortment plans, 360 launch strategies and animations for a group of brands within the category strategy
• Interpret and communicate directions to team members within business unit and with internal partners to ensure that each initiative is developed and executed within the desired timeline
• Prepare reports and assist in analyzing the business for sales driving opportunities

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Minimum 3 years retail buying office experience
• High-level problem solving and analytical skills with good judgement
• Curiosity for category market product, styling trends, influencers/content, and competition
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast paced and complex environment
• Strong communication skills, oral and written with comfort presenting and delivering to leadership
• Technical skills – MS Office (Excel- SASS cubes, Pivot tables, V-lookup, Word, PowerPoint); retailer merchant systems with ability to pull and merge data from various systems and reports to make data driven decisions

The annual base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.  Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.  Sephora offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, which includes comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a superior 401(k) plan, various paid time off programs; employee discount/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; and an employee referral bonus program.
