SepsaMedha is currently looking for Field Service Technicians for Downstate New York.
SUMMARY: Provides professional service and support to customers by performing field service installation, startup, repairs and maintenance of the equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, and use fingers and hands to use objects, tools or controls.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee could be exposed to hot/cold temperatures and loud noises.
- Ability to read, understand, speak and write fluent English
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Follow safety instructions and be familiar with the safety manual.
- Follow all policies described in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain and care for all materials and tools provided by the Company.
- Overtime may be necessary as work loads dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.
- May be assigned to work at a client’s facility or site for a limited period of time. Conditions will vary at each location. Appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by SEPSA and/or client as required.
Main Tasks:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical parts.
- Follow repair procedure and communicate to engineers and supervisors about possible deviations.
- Execute all quality policies and procedures.
- Be aware of the safety manual and follow all safety instructions of the company and the procedures established by the customer in their facilities.
- Receive cross training and work dynamically in multiple projects as required by the supervisor.
- Follow all policies described in the employee handbook.
- Work over time if require by the company.
- Maintain and care for all goods and tools provided by the company.
- Follow clock in and out policy, as well as work order notification in the system.
- Help engineering with the training of new technicians.
- Verify that the final product is lifted and moved to the shipping area according to lifting procedures.
- Inform the after sales supervisor or superior about any accident in his area and complete all the related documents.
- Fill the field service reports, indicating in detail the work performance and the failure classification accuracy.
- Support engineering during acceptance test and be willing to work nights during this period.

Necessary Qualifications:
Education / Knowledge / Experience:
- Associate degree in the Electronics field (preferred).
- MS software package or similar: Outlook, Excel and Word.
- One of two years of experience as an electronic technician.
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Know how to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, ammeters, power supplies and capabilities to learn new instrumentation.
- Team work skills.
- Soldering skills.
- Willing to travel
- Willing to work overtime as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills.
- Meet the skills necessary for testing and troubleshooting of equipment independently, once the three month training period is complete.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and maintain a driving record which meets the insurable criteria of the company’s automobile insurance carrier.
