Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, including inventory management, domestic and international shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and leadership in a manufacturing environment. The role requires direct communication with customers to ensure seamless delivery and shipment processes. The role reports directly to the General Manager – Operations, and their peers are the Test Manager, the Production Manager and the Supply Chain Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Operations Management
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the warehouse and warehouse clerks, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.
- Establish and enforce organizational and operational policies to maintain efficiency, accuracy, safety. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure accuracy and availability for production. * Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to reconcile discrepancies. * Implement best practices to optimize inventory storage and retrieval.
Coordination with Quality
- Collaborate with the Quality team to support incoming inspection processes, ensuring materials meet specifications before release.
- Manage non-conforming materials, including proper documentation, segregation, and resolution with suppliers.
Production Support
- Supervise and manage line feeders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production. * Monitor material flow to prevent production delays and address shortages proactively.
Customer Communication and Logistics
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment scheduling, approvals, and clearance processes.
- Organize and oversee outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and customs agents to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Process Improvement
- Analyze current warehouse processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Leverage technology and systems to streamline workflows and increase operational visibility.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop work schedules and assign tasks to maintain productivity while ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
- The warehouse manager has 6 direct reports.
Data and Reporting
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, shipment performance, and warehouse KPIs to senior management.
- Use data-driven insights to identify trends and recommend strategic adjustments.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
- Proficient in inventory management software and ERP systems (SAP is a requirement) * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent command of the English language. Spanish is a plus.
