We are seeking candidates for the position of Depot Clerk Receiver (8450) in the Callowhill Bus Transportation.

OVERALL DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision of the District Dispatcher, answers telephones, reviews accident reports, calculates pay, and records lost and found.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accepts transportation personnel when reporting for duty. Ensures Fitness for Duty, records proper code for report, absentees, etc. Solicits, assigns employees to open runs and trippers. Assists in conducting Hold Down, Line Picking, etc. Communicates information from Management personnel to operators; answers inquiries from employees, public, in person or on telephone concerning work assignments, schedules, complaints, lost and found, etc. Traces VERITAS complaints, accepts/records lost and found items, makes notation on proper record of report of miss, sickness, day-off requests, vacation, etc.
- Calculates work hours, pay hours, night premium and overtime. Prepares miscellaneous payroll sheets for other than revenue service work via CAPES/TRAPEZE to ensure operators are placed on bids after Dispatcher activates daily activity.
- Obtains information from various departments and depots regarding Payroll, transfer status, incoming student operators, and bus maintenance. Assists with completing window sheets, reporting lists, late sheets, reporting lists, mileage sheets, etc.
- Receives/reviews accident reports, post detours, notices. Submits allowances for accident reports. Records synopsis in accident book and forwards report to various departments.
- Records Holidays (HOL, PH, VD, EED, PED, etc.) in holiday book in system and TRAPEZE.
- Issues, records pay checks/pay stubs.
- Provides entry level tech support as required.
- Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public, self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must be familiar with SEPTA fare system, route structure and operator responsibilities. Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
- Must be proficient at maintaining accurate records, dispatching employees. Must learn depot procedures and proper payroll procedures for operators. Must become knowledgeable with various computer programs (TRAPEZE/CAPES/etc.). Must handle all inquiries professionally.
