Opening Date : 02 / 24 / 2025 Closing Date : 03 / 10 / 2025 Job Grade : SAM 40 Salary Range : Min : $79,534.00 - Mid : $99,424.00 - Max : $119,314.00 OVERALL DESCRIPTION Responsible for the effective administration, coordination and operation of all assets, processes, functions and activities associated with the Materials Management Storerooms and Material Control data administration sections. Ensures effective storeroom operations, strategic material deployment and availability models and optimal customer integration methods are in place to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient flow of required materials and services. Assists in developing a forward-thinking, reactive and productive operation, providing superior customer service levels at minimum cost. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Develop strategies, execute plans and lead the implementation of process improvement and change management initiatives to create real-time operational and organizational change in Supply Chain Management. Lead continuous logistics planning activities focused on implementation of non-traditional material availability models. Responsible for the balancing of inventory levels and locations to coincide with overall maintenance requirements. Direct regular planning sessions focused on space / facility utilization, design, consolidation and physical location. Lead these efforts with an emphasis on safety enhancements, process and productivity improvements, cost reductions and technology expansion. Plan, direct and manage the operation of the Authority’s multi-company hierarchical warehouse and storeroom network consisting of central distribution centers and local dependent storerooms. Ensure all products received from suppliers or production shops are received, cross-docked, stored and distributed in a seamless and consistent manner producing exceptional material delivery standards to all customers. Executes all aspects of this operation in the safest, most efficient and most effective manner possible to meet and exceed internal and external customer needs. Develop key Performance Indicators that will support Authority and Departmental goals and initiatives. Direct the implementation of these indicators and manages the process of their update and regular review. Manage the implementation of root cause reviews and action plans designed to address improvement of negative performance trends and process deficiencies identified by the review process. Performance areas should include all relevant Safety / Regulatory, Cost, Asset Protection and Material Availability processes necessary to meet or exceed above goals and objectives. Develop, direct and manage the process of procedure and policy review, preparation, update and distribution related to Supply Chain Management operations. Manage direct reports and organizational assets to ensure adherence to and compliance with all existing, new and / or modified Authority and departmental policies and procedures. Conduct performance assessments and plans as needed to raise expectations and performance levels, in accordance with Authority guidelines. As required, integrates performance indicator creation and review process with changes to operational policies and procedures to ensure measurable assessments are made between actual and intended results. Direct and lead an organization where direct reports regularly communicate the front line or field perspective to Operational clients as well as other internal customers (Directors, Managers, various planners, resource controllers, analysts, buyers, etc.). Develops expectations of the entire organization that the information provided should focus on process improvement opportunities and resolution of material availability issues. Ensure the SCM Operations’ team is one that fosters a learning culture, open to new processes, technologies and methods through availability of effective training programs and direct involvement in process improvement implementations. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, Finance or related field and a minimum of five (5) years experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, Materials Management or Purchasing required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, additional experience may be considered, one (1) year of post high school education equating to two (2) years of related experience. Minimum experience requirement cannot be substituted with additional / higher education. Demonstrated ability to serve a large, diverse group of internal customers required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills required. Must possess proficiency with material planning and logistics processes, material handling practices and procedures, as well as safety and regulatory requirement knowledge. Ability to think strategically and implement solutions based on analysis of current systems, procedures and policies required. Proficiency in MS Products required (i.e. Excel, Word, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot and PowerPoint). Familiar with data processing applications as applied to material handling and warehouse operations (i.e., ASI, VMIS, SAP, Oracle, Microsft Dynamics) experience required. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
