Sequel Med Tech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Medicaid to join our Market Access, Sales, and Government Affairs team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, the Senior Director, Medicaid will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with various Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to ensure market access for Sequel's products.

Sequel Med Tech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Medicaid to join our Market Access, Sales, and Government Affairs team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, the Senior Director, Medicaid will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with various Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to ensure market access for Sequel's products.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive market access and reimbursement for Sequel's product portfolio within Medicaid MCOs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, market access, and medical affairs to develop and implement comprehensive account strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within Medicaid MCOs, including executives, pharmacy directors, and formulary decision-makers, to advocate for Sequel's products.
- Lead negotiations with Medicaid MCOs to secure favorable formulary placement, reimbursement rates, and access policies for Sequel's products.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to anticipate challenges and opportunities related to market access.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership regarding market access strategies, opportunities, and challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop value propositions, health economic evidence, and payer tools to support market access efforts.
- Attend relevant conferences, meetings, and industry events to stay abreast of industry developments and foster relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing interactions with MCO’s and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field preferred
- 7 years of experience in healthcare sales, market access, or account management. Demonstrated success negotiating with Medicaid MCO’s required.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing favorable formulary placement and reimbursement for medical devices or pharmaceutical products.
- Deep understanding of the US healthcare system, including reimbursement mechanisms, payer landscape, and regulatory environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage data to inform decision-making and drive results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
