Sequel Med Tech is seeking a skilled Senior Manager, Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and have a strong background in financial reporting and external financial communications.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Partner with Finance leadership to establish a comprehensive external financial reporting framework in alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
- Develop and document policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely external financial reporting.
- Lead the preparation and submission of external financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable accounting standards and reporting guidelines.
- Monitor changes in financial reporting regulations and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Research and assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements, providing guidance on implementation as needed.
- Review and refine accounting policies to ensure consistency and compliance with U.S. GAAP and industry best practices.
- Manage the preparation of quarterly external financial reporting, including earnings releases and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors as needed for timely and accurate filings.
- Assist in developing quarterly investor relations presentations.
- Support the preparation of financial data and analysis for investor and analyst calls.
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual reviews.
- Provide additional information as needed to support audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit inquiries.
- Coordinate the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of systems and tools used to support external and internal financial reporting.
- Ensure the reporting infrastructure is scalable and efficient to meet organizational needs.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in all reporting.
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on financial reporting requirements and best practices.
