Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Sr. Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join a client in Redwood City. This is a contract position scheduled to last approximately through October. The role is onsite at the client location.Key Responsibilities : Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed on key chemical regulations such as REACH, CLP, TSCA, GHS, Prop 65, CEPA (Canada), CSCL / ENCS & ISHL (Japan), NICNAS (Australia), and others.Analyze and communicate the impact of regulatory requirements on product development, commercialization, labeling, transportation, and disposal.Monitor regulatory changes globally and assess their impact on our operations, recommending necessary actions.Ensure all products and processes meet compliance standards.Chemical Registrations : Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, including substance registrations and notifications to relevant authorities.Substance Reporting & Documentation : Assess new formulations and raw materials for regulatory risks, providing solutions to mitigate any issues.Track inventory and substance volumes, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements for regulatory agencies.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with R&D teams to provide regulatory guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality Control, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless compliance and operational scalability.Communicate regulatory strategies to minimize any impact on the supply chain.Regulatory Infrastructure Development : Build and maintain robust compliance systems, anticipating future regulatory challenges.Create and document policies, procedures, and guidelines to support compliance.Manage regulatory risks and maintain strong customer trust.Regulatory Audits & Inspections : Lead preparations for regulatory audits and inspections, demonstrating compliance with all relevant chemical regulations.Investigate and resolve any findings, implementing corrective actions.Conduct audits of critical material suppliers and manufacturers.Classify chemicals and assess hazards based on GHS and other regulatory standards.Determine necessary testing for product shipping classifications.Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labels, and product manuals for accuracy and compliance.Training & Awareness : Lead internal training sessions and develop educational materials to promote chemical regulatory awareness.Educate employees on the importance of regulatory compliance and associated risks.Budget Management : Manage the regulatory department's budget, forecasting costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources.Industry Engagement : Build relationships with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and key stakeholders.Attend meetings and discussions regarding chemical regulations.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in regulatory affairs are a plus.A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical regulatory affairs.In-depth knowledge of global chemical regulations (e.g., TSCA, Prop 65, EU REACH, RoHS, GHS).Proven ability to apply complex regulatory requirements to product development and business processes.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and high accuracy in documentation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with regulatory audits and inspections.Familiarity with regulatory compliance software is preferred.Knowledge of the additive manufacturing industry is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
