Regional Business Development Manager – Tier 3 Data Center (Nebraska)
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Development Professional to join our Sequitor Heartland LLC team at an emerging Tier 3 Data Center network located in Central Nebraska. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our customer base. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, sales expertise, and relationship-building skills within the data center industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Market Analysis & Strategy Development
◦ Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities within the data center and cloud services industries.
◦ Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and customer acquisition targets.
◦ Identify and target industries such as IT, financial services, healthcare, e-commerce, and government agencies for potential partnerships.
• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
◦ Prospect, engage, and close contracts with enterprise clients, small-to-medium businesses, and managed service providers.
◦ Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
◦ Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
• Technical & Solution Selling
◦ Understand and communicate the technical capabilities and benefits of Tier 3 data center services, including redundancy, uptime, security, and scalability.
◦ Work closely with internal teams to design customized solutions for clients, leveraging the facility's cutting-edge infrastructure and service offerings.
• Partnership Development
◦ Foster strategic partnerships with technology vendors, cloud service providers, and other relevant industry players.
◦ Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to increase brand awareness and network with potential partners.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting
◦ Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, customer growth, and revenue generation.
◦ Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development activities and market conditions.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
§ 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the data center, IT, or cloud services industries.
§ Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
§ Strong understanding of Tier 3 data center operations, colocation services, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
§ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
§ Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close high-value contracts.
§ Proficiency in CRM tools.
§ Willingness to travel within Nebraska and occasionally to other regions as needed.
