Wind Turbine Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team. in Meyersdale, PA. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, field service experience, and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on wind turbines to ensure operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as voltmeters and hand tools.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs.
• Work with high voltage systems while adhering to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Conduct field service operations, including climbing turbines to perform necessary repairs or inspections.
• Document all maintenance activities and report findings to management.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance safety protocols and improve operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the electrical or mechanical field.
• Proficiency in handling low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques for safe climbing and working at heights.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, including the use of voltmeters for diagnostics.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
