Position Overview
The Facilities Technician IV will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Utilize technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-effective solutions that meet the facility’s needs. Leverage deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and wastewater management to deliver reliable and sustainable facility operations for our clients.

The expected salary range for this position is $45 to $50. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Position Overview
The Facilities Technician IV will ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment. Utilize technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-effective solutions that meet the facility’s needs. Leverage deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and wastewater management to deliver reliable and sustainable facility operations for our clients.
Key Responsibilities

- Execute the CMMS preventative maintenance program for all equipment/systems in FDA-regulated spaces.
- Provide maintenance support for production equipment during production events in FDA spaces.
- Analyze maintenance issues and propose solutions.
- Ensure all work adheres to client procedures and cGxP regulations.
- Train staff on performing preventative maintenance on critical process equipment to ensure compliance with standard practices.
- Accurately document all work in the CMMS system.
- Monitor waste systems in compliance with MWRA licenses.
- Perform weekly rounds of generators to log hours.
- Conduct monthly rounds of underground storage tanks (first 5 days of the month).
- Perform general building walkdowns to ensure no major issues.
- Perform additional job functions as required.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 7-10 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to follow instructions, recognize deviations, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Previous experience in a cGxP environment is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot within the scope of training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other systems.
- Ability to apply scientific and engineering principles to problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including knowledge of mechanics, robotics, hydraulic testing equipment, pneumatics, and vacuum systems. Practical experience with PLC troubleshooting and operation is essential.
- Experience in wastewater management and mechanical rounds, including decommissioning sites.
