What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operator (Call Center) position at Sequoia Family Medical Center?
Job Summary:
The person in this position will assist all callers wanting to schedule, cancel or reschedule appointments. Receiving calls from patients and help them with their appointment needs. Calling patients to confirm appointments, gather information, and evaluating patient needs over the phone.
Job Duties: This position is responsible for the following as per Policy and Procedure organizational guidelines and processes:
· Schedule appointments / remind patients of their appointments.
· Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate staff as needed.
· Verify and update all patients’ current phone numbers and addresses.
· Process insurance eligiblity.
· Work closely with other departments on appointment scheduling and services offered to ensure smooth patient flow and cut down on patient wait-time and to maximize provider schedules.
· Respond to patients’ inquiries, requests, and route it to the appropriate department or staff.
· Explain services available.
· Ensure all scheduled patients are scheduled according to each Provider scheduling template, if not report “out of scheduling guidelines appointments” to Lead.
· All other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
