Summary of the position
We seek a motivated, self-starting, passionate team player to join our firm in the role of Project Manager. This is a new position created in response to the growth of the organization and will report to the Technology Program Manager and focus on the delivery of projects for the firm. The Project Manager will work in close collaboration with all members of the Technology Team as well as departments that come together to create the project team that is responsible for the delivery of the opportunity. Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Manages assigned projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specified projects ensuring consistency with Sequoia’s project management governance.
- Sets and tracks project schedule and milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed with proper communication and approval from project sponsor.
- Ensures project team is assigned and each member understands their role and expectations.
- Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to stakeholders.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
- Potentially leading to M&A integrations, partnering with the broader integration team, third parties and leading a department specific workstream.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience.
- 2-4 years of project management and related experience.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate a team to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) principles and planning.
- Proficient with Asana or similar project manager software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
