Summary of the position
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Staff Accountant based in our headquarters in Fairlawn, Ohio, joining our Finance & Accounting team.
Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for:
- Maintaining financial records
- Performing reconciliations
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
- Managing accounts payable and receivable including cash disbursements and receipt of physical checks
- Preparing monthly journal entries associated with fixed assets, investments, and notes payable
- Assisting with audits
- Supporting the analysis of financial data to support decision-making processes
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience with financial recordkeeping, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations
- Knowledge of accounting policies
- Proficiency in managing accounts payable and receivable
- Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis and supporting decision-making processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
- Experience in the financial services industry is beneficial
