Certification Details BLS Job Details Job Specialty : OR Tech Facility : Sequoia Hospital Contract Length : 13 weeks Unit : OR Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Main OR-Mostly ortho cases such as all totals (hips, knees, joints); Pavilion-neuro and ortho spine, CV cases (specific team works these), general, gynecology, urology, ENT Job Requirements Must have at least 2 years OR experience Prefer nurses with Cerner Surginet experience Schedule Information Shifts : variable starts 6am-9am w / call; no evenings, no weekends Call : 1 shift per week, every 4th weekend Weekend Requirement : not required Holidays : covered by call Additional Details BLS, COVID Vaccine Required (Certification) Ratios : 1 : 1 (nurses circulateif can scrub that is a plus but not required) Scrub Color : Provided by hospital Floating : Not required Floor specific orientation : 1 week of paperwork orientation and one week partnered up with a preceptor Additional Notes : 15-25 cases per day; 400 per month; 20-25% of cases are inpatient; only do CV cases or robotic cases if experience with these; anesthesia all done by anesthesiologists (no CRNAs); critical patients go directly to ICU from the OR (Prefer 26 week contracts); 10 hr Days w / varied starts btwn 0600-0900, call included, EOW
