Position Overview:
This is a hybrid position in which 50% of the employee’s time is spent with Quality Improvement and 50% of the time will be spent with HR Assistant tasks. These tasks are divided and explained below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Improvement Tasks (20 hours per week)
- Process Discharges: Reviews discharge documentation to ensure documentation standards are met and discharges clients from the Electronic Medical Record
- Compliance: · Completes internal documentation audits as assigned and directed by QI Manager. Assists with agency compliance training.
- Implements and provides ongoing consultation for Peer Review audit process.
- Assists with development and implementation of client satisfaction surveys and quality of services surveys.
- Develops, recruits and implements Consumer Council, ensuring quarterly meetings
- Processes and Responds to Records Requests.
- Quarterly as assigned by QI Supervisor
- Insurance/Authorizations
- Assists, as directed by QI supervisor, in reviewing and submitting of agency authorization for services.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR):· Provides support/backup with MOTS data entry
HR Assistant Tasks (20 hours per week) Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation and ensures trainings are properly filed in employee files.
- Conducts Reference Checks
- Schedules Interviews
- Enters New hires into Orchards, DMV, and Everify
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Provides assistance, as directed by HR Coordinator, with payroll
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science preferred.
- At least one year of Human resource experience preferred
- At least one year of Quality Improvement experience preferred
Required Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion practices in the workplace.
- Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules, Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Experience with office equipment including efax, copier, scanner
- The ability to quickly learn the payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
- Proficient in computer skills, data entry, Microsoft applications, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience working with confidential information in a HIPAA-compliant environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and utilize database knowledge to effectively report needed information.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to a wide variety of people.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical computations.
- Must have the ability to complete forms thoroughly and accurately
- Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:

- Lift 20-60 lb.
- Walk, bend, kneel, and reach;
