Residential Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Aide to provide support and assistance to individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents. This role involves working closely with individuals who may require assistance with daily living activities, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure residents receive proper nutrition.
• Support residents in engaging in social activities and maintaining a positive environment.
• Help residents with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
• Monitor and document residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate staff.
• Drive residents to appointments or social outings when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving, home care, assisted living, or group home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.
• Ability to lift and assist residents as required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
• A background in social work or related fields is beneficial but not required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for transportation duties.
