We are looking for caring and energetic people to serve as Direct Support Professionals! In this job, you will help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and make a real difference in their lives every day.

This job can be difficult at times and requires patience and hard work, but it is rewarding as well. We will provide all the training you will need to be successful (at no cost to you).

As a Direct Support Professional, you will get to know the people we serve on a personal level and help them with their daily living skills in their group home and at their places of employment. You will be part of a team that works together to help adults with disabilities achieve their goals of being as independent as possible.

You will receive training which include: online training, MAB, MAT, and Client Specific Training which include Nutrition, Physical Therapy, ETL, and Behavioral Techniques to help assist our clients with their daily living needs. We transport clients back and forth to their vocational (work) programs, on outings into the community, doctors appointments, and anywhere else they need transported to. We assist them with daily living skills which include, brief checks/changes, showers, brushing teeth and all other hygiene requirements they may need. We clean the clients rooms, facility inside and outside. We keep the company vehicles clean. We pass medications for all of our individuals at the medication administration time. We have daily books that have to be documented for each client and must be completed before the end of each shift. We assist our individuals to good relationships with their friends and family. Most importantly we are strong advocates for our individuals.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Clean background check (Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation- OSBI)
• Be free from illegal drugs

Duties include:

• Teach people life skills, including money management, home management, daily living and personal care skills
• Provide the care people cannot do themselves
• Be an advocate and help people get involved in their communities, build relationships with friends and family
• Assist with medications and health monitoring
• Transport people to appointments, errands, and fun activities
• Maintain a high degree of honesty and integrity at all times
• Participate in required training (provided at no cost)
• Perform all aspects of job safely and using good judgment
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of people served
• Communicate openly and respectfully with people served, their families, supervisors, members of the community
