As the Action Officer based at our Washington, D.C. office, you will support the Submarine Safety and Quality Assurance Division (SEA 07Q) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). You will also be responsible and accountable for the Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE), Fly-By-Wire Ship Control Systems (FBW SCS), and Deep Submergence Systems (DSS) Certification programs. SEA 07Q provides quality assurance and independent oversight for all of the SUBSAFE/FBW SCS/DSS certification responsible activities across the globe. Its director advises the NAVSEA Deputy Commander for Undersea Warfare (SEA 07) and acts as the Program Manager for Submarine Safety and Quality Assurance. This program ensures the safety of all Sailors aboard SUBSAFE, FBW SCS, and DSS certified assets.
In this role, you will:
- Evaluate new or revised procedures for operational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance as applicable to submarine safety, fly-by-wire, and deep submergence systems certification.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement standard operating procedures for submarine maintenance.
- Evaluate improvements to quality assurance processes and corrective actions taken as a result of audit findings.
- Compile and analyze data, generate presentations, make recommendations and track actions.
- Manage and coordinate required actions and efforts of a variety of activities.
- Attend meetings and prepare presentations, report project status and work commitments.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Active Interim Secret clearance (An Active or Current Secret Clearance preferred)
- US Citizenship
- A Bachelor's degree
- An Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- 5 years of related/similar experience
- Experience with US Navy submarine Quality Assurance programs.
- Knowledge of submarine and/or submersible construction maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of the Navy organization and interrelationships.
- Skill in applying, enforcing, and integrating rules, regulations, and guidelines that impact projects and programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to 15% of the time.

In compliance with the District of Columbia’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $86,539.03 to $140,624.86; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
