What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Analyst - Washington, D.C. position at Serco North America?
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
In this role, you will:
- Be the single point of contact on all contract management support related issues, including required reports and presentations responsible for quality control and timeliness.
- Support the customer for Commitments Database by utilizing MS Access to support commitments efforts.
- Work with Team Submarine staff to route incoming commitments and update/maintain data used for tracking status of open items.
- Maintain database functionality and manage access required by 450T personnel.
- Design data fields and create ad-hoc and defined reports exported to MS Excel and PDF.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Active or Current DOD Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in a business or similar technical field.
- 1 year of experience (Experience with Navy acquisition and Submarine Programs highly preferred)
- 10% travel required.
- Active NNPI account and CAC
- Knowledge of PMS450
- Knowledge of FBW SCS
- Experience with Access databases desired.
- Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
- Knowledge of Program Management, including the acquisition process, the budgeting process and Navy program execution.
- Active Duty Experience in the submarine service preferred.
- Recent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal.
In compliance with the District of Columbia’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $66,154.44 to $99,232.27; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
