What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Capital Consultant position at Serco North America?
As a Federal Human Capital Consultant, you will join a high performing team of consultants partnering with a range of Federal customers to analyze their organizations and programs to improve HR operations. You will apply your knowledge of Federal HR programs, data, and operations to develop innovative solutions to improve the Services these agencies provide to their customers. Additionally, you will help support and execute our Human Capital consulting strategy, applying your knowledge and experience in business development to help identify and capture opportunities.
Our consultants bring expert knowledge from working either within the federal government or in support of it through previous consulting work. Our consultants typically support more than one project at a time, providing variety in the work and security against any issues related to a single contract.
In this role you will:
- Support initiatives to analyze and improve human capital processes
- Analyze workload and organizational structure using a variety of models and tools
- Conducting job task analysis and analysis of position descriptions
- Evaluating hiring and retention programs
- Supporting organizational design and strategic workforce planning efforts
- Facilitating working groups and meetings, managing dissenting opinions and driving towards outcomes
- Analyzing data from various sources to make improvement recommendations
- Facilitating or assisting with conducting customer workshops or focus groups
- Constructing, administering, and analyzing surveys
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Active Secret Clearance
- 10 years’ experience
- In depth knowledge of Federal HR programs having support both DoD and other Federal civilian agencies.
- Experience as a consultant, assisting Federal agencies in analyzing and improving HR program performance
- Knowledge of government contracting
- Ability to lead tasks or projects
- Experience conducting organizational assessments ton include evaluation of HR programs
- Business Development experience
- Experience with HR data analytics including advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel
- Experience writing or supporting proposals
- Experience working in fast paced environments
- Experience working in large groups
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience briefing senior government officials
- Ability to travel up to 20%
Even better with:
- Experience in Strategic Workforce Planning or workforce analysis
- HR Program Assessments/Evaluations
- Experience with Microsoft PowerBI
- Process improvement experience (yellow belt or higher certification desired)
- Familiarity with Inspector General report writing style
