Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as an Entry-Level Dental Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dental team with patient care procedures and handling a variety of front desk duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assisting the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking and developing X-rays, and preparing patients for treatment.
- Providing chairside assistance to the dentist and hygienist.
- Supporting the lead assistant as directed.
- Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.
- Front Desk Duties:
- Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
- Answering and directing phone calls.
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
- Managing patient records.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer skills.
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant work experience in medical/dental office.
