Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as an Entry-Level Dental Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dental team with patient care procedures and handling a variety of front desk duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
  • Assisting the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing and sterilizing instruments, taking and developing X-rays, and preparing patients for treatment.
  • Providing chairside assistance to the dentist and hygienist.
  • Supporting the lead assistant as directed.
  • Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.
  • Front Desk Duties:
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
  • Answering and directing phone calls.
  • Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
  • Managing patient records.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role.
  • Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant work experience in medical/dental office.
