- Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
- Maintain an organized pharmacy environment by managing inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of medications.
- Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and address any medication-related inquiries.
- Document all medication-related activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on pharmacy practices, critical care protocols, and new medications.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and acute care practices.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
