What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Server position at Serengeti Kitchen?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service by guiding guests through menu options and answering questions.
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing and payment.
- Explain and share the cultural significance of menu items with customers to enrich their experience.
- Plate and serve food with care and attention to detail.
- Assist with special events, such as dinner parties, tastings, and catering services.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas.
- Help with restocking and inventory management as needed.
Qualifications:
- 18 years old with 1–2 years of experience in food service, customer service, or hospitality (preferred).
- Reliable, personable, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Able to work flexible hours, lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with POS systems and food plating is a plus.
Work Location: In person at the Market at 7th Street, Charlotte, NC
Working Hours:
- Monday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
