Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to a elderly male client with dementia in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they reside in a group home, nursing home, or receive care in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Follow HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in patient care, preferably in a group home or nursing home setting.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to perform patient observation and recognize changes in health status.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client assistance.
- Certification in home community care or memory care is preferred but not mandatory.
