Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with care plans.
- Assist clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as necessary.
- Support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities by fostering independence and enhancing daily living skills.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and promoting autonomy.
- Document care provided accurately and maintain communication with family members and healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospice care or senior care is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- Ability to assist clients physically, including lifting when necessary.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
