What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Aide position at SERENITY CARE KINGSTON?
INTERVIEWING FOR:
7am-3pm Rotating weekends Full-Time
3pm-11pm Rotating weekends Full-Time
11pm-7am Rotating weekends Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Provide companionship and engage residents in recreational and social activities.
- Assist residents with mobility, including transferring them from bed to chair or assisting with walking.
- Monitor and document residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
- Administer prescribed medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or healthcare professional.
- Assist with the proper storage, documentation, and handling of medications.
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the medical team or supervisor.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents, including room upkeep and maintenance.
- Assist in preparing meals and feeding residents who require assistance.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly, following established protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Med-Tech License
- Previous experience in a personal care, healthcare, or senior living environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and medication administration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required
Working Conditions:
- Full-time or part-time positions available.

- The role requires physical stamina and the ability to stand, bend, and lift as needed.
