Serenity Care Providers is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. We are a non-medical home care provider company with clients throughout Northeast Louisiana. We employ Direct Service Workers and Certified Nurse Aides to care for clients in their homes and long-term care settings. Our team members must have a positive attitude and exhibit professionalism. In 2022 and 2025, we were recognized nationally as one of the top 100 in experience out of over 3,000 home care agencies!
The ideal candidate will have an unencumbered RN license in Louisiana and preferably at least one year of experience in a clinical setting. The candidate will be responsible for completing assessments of elderly and/or disabled clients, documenting within an electronic health record, providing education to direct service workers and staff, and collaborating to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. In addition to clinical skills, the candidate must possess compassion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team. This can be a full or part-time position consisting of time in our office in West Monroe, LA, and home visits for our clients. Although we service all of Region 8, most of our clients reside in the Monroe, West Monroe, & Ruston areas.
The responsibilities of the registered nurse will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting Care Coordinators with new client assessments and re-assessments
- Assist in developing client-specific care plans and editing care plans as needed annually and/or with any change in a client’s status.
- Complete functional and cognitive screenings as required per long-term care insurance companies
- Respond to incident reports, including falls, injuries, or other changes in status per company policy
- Assist Administrator with Policies, Procedures, and guidelines set forth by the Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals
- Assist with the implementation of new employee orientation
- Make impromptu and scheduled visits to observe client/caregiver relationships
- Assist with the creation and implementation of employee training
- Promote quality client care by offering support and positive reinforcement to employees through achievement recognition, knowledge sharing, and clinical management
- Assist with recruiting and retaining employees within the company, collaborating with office staff to promote employee longevity.
- Assist Administrator with oversight of daily operations
Requirements
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff, clients and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a home care setting.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
