Overview
As a Personal Care Aide, you will improve a client's quality of life by offering compassionate and personalized care in their home. This role is essential for providing physical support while promoting independence, safety, and dignity for elderly clients living at home.
Responsibilities
- Companionship: Offering emotional support and friendship to reduce loneliness and isolation while engaging in conversation and activities promoting social interaction.
- Meal Preparation involves preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences and ensuring proper feeding assistance.
- Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Medication Reminder.
- Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm
Skills
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
