The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management reports directly to the senior executive team and plays a crucial role in driving Serenity’s growth. The VP of RCM will leverage data, a bias for action, and strong management skills to measure and improve internal performance and efficiency in billing and collections. This leader also owns the negotiation of timely and favorable outcomes with insurance companies and other partners on matters of contracting and credentialing. We accept most private insurance plans and minimize our reliance on public payers. Impact in this role directly enables Serenity to continue to expand and help an ever-increasing number of patients on their healing journeys.

Primary Responsibilities
Track, optimize and report on key RCM performance indicators
Manage contract negotiation and credentialing
Oversee resolution of patient concerns regarding claims processing and billing issues
Improve policies and procedures to minimize days in A/R
Coordinate effectively with multiple business functions
Ensure integrity and compliance in all collection-related processes
Promote a positive and solution-oriented team culture
Develop team members’ functional expertise and professional skills
Qualities We’re Looking For
Sincere desire to help patients take back their lives from health struggles
Demonstrated commitment to metric-based management with the ability to leverage data and KPIs to improve performance and efficiency
Demonstrated confidence and skill in negotiating with insurance companies and other partners to drive timely and favorable outcomes
Sense of urgency and drive to achieve results, and ability to develop a team with those same attributes
10 years experience in senior leadership roles in professional billing (not solely 3rd party or facility based), including experience with a large or multi-state company – outpatient mental health preferred
Experience in employee selection, training and onboarding, and engagement
Ability to coach your team to achieve key performance indicators
Ability to assist senior leadership in identifying and addressing obstacles to financial performance (e.g. Charge Capture, Payment Posting, Denial Management, Patient Collections, Overfunded Accounts, Coding Trends, Payor issues)
Experience with all areas of billing noted above
Certified Coder, Biller, or Credentialer
Demonstrated skill in critical thinking, time management, detail orientation, and professional communication
