What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Specialist position at Serenity Hills Life Center?
Must be a person in recovery from substance abuse for at least 2 years. Peer Recovery Support Specialist will provide recovery support services for overdose survivors out patient or be hired for our inpatient program. They will perform an assessment and provide assistance with access to treatment resources. They will provide information on medical and social service resources. For outpatient they will go on seen of an overdose and coordinate resources with emergency responders and for inpatient they will be assigned a patient and be a liason for that client and support in her treatment plan and recovery needs. They will provide support to the person to help them reach their recovery goals.They will provide education when needed. When not on call you will be expected to help with other duties at the facility. On call at least 1 week out of the month. Insurance Benefits will be offered. Full time position with an hourly wage of $16.00.
