Serenity Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our on-call team serving patients and families in Lancaster, York, and Dauphin Counties. This is a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, providing a great work-life balance while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Position Overview:
As an On-Call Hospice RN, you will be the clinical point of contact for our patients and families during after-hours. You’ll triage incoming calls, conduct in-person visits when needed, manage symptoms, perform death pronouncements, and occasionally handle after-hours admissions. You’ll be supported by a compassionate team and work in a culture that values teamwork, communication, and dignity at the end of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient and family calls during after-hours.
- Triage calls to determine appropriate level of care needed.
- Conduct in-person visits as necessary for symptom management or support.
- Perform death pronouncements and provide compassionate support to families.
- Facilitate after-hours hospice admissions when appropriate.
- Document timely and accurately using our EMR.

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 1 year of hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage urgent situations with calm and compassion.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Must be able to commit to a 7 on / 7 off rotating schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
