Certified Music Therapist

Serenity Hospice provides caring and compassionate hospice care services to patients and families throughout New Jersey. Our mission is to alleviate pain and symptoms; foster a state of calmness and harmony; and encourage an appreciation of family, friends, and life experiences.

Serenity Hospice Care is looking for a compassionate and creative Per Diem Music Therapist to join our team in the Mercer County area. . This position will help to offer music therapy services to our patients and offer peaceful interventions in their end of life care.

Responsibilities :

Assess music therapy needs of the patient / family and provide music therapy services to the hospice patients and their families, as appropriate.

Consult with interdisciplinary team about patient referrals to assess needs and prioritize intervention.

Document all care provided on the patients’ clinical record in accordance with Hospice’s documentation requirements.

Educate hospice staff and community about the role of the Music Therapist and the use of music therapy interventions with hospice patients and families.

Assist with facilitating support groups upon request, and ensure effective use of resources.

Requirements :

Valid New Jersey MT license.

Prior Hospice Experience a Plus!
