Job Title: Residential Caregiver
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Caregiver to provide daily care and support to individuals in a home setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being for residents. This role requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping individuals live with dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care services including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition.
Assist with medication reminders and support in medication management as directed.
Monitor and record residents' health and behavior, reporting any significant changes to the appropriate parties.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' quality of life.
Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Support residents with mobility assistance, including transfers, walking, and positioning.
Ensure that residents' rights and confidentiality are upheld at all times.
Work collaboratively with family members, medical professionals, and other caregivers to create and follow personalized care plans.
Engage in activities and exercises to promote physical and mental well-being.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a caregiving role or in-home care is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain a consistent, high standard of care.
Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, including physical tasks such as transferring individuals to/from bed or wheelchair.
Ability to maintain a professional and respectful attitude with residents, families, and staff.
Working Conditions:
Caregivers may be required to assist residents with physical tasks and handle light housekeeping duties.
A valid driver’s license is required
Background check and fingerprinting is required.
