Job Title: Driver/Inventory Assistant

Primary Work Location: Serenity House Thrift Stores in Sequim

Supervised by: Thrift Store Director

Supervises: N/A

Hours: Part Time- Day Shift

Salary Range: $17/ hr.

Description:

Delivery Driver/Inventory Assistant has a variety of duties in addition to driving routes and making deliveries. They must follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations and best practices for safety when delivering and picking up merchandise. Keep the stockroom in order and flow of products from stockroom to sales floor throughout the three locations.

Job Duties:

· Pick up of donations of furniture, appliances, and heavy boxes in the company box truck

· Delivery of customer purchases in the company box truck

· Moving furniture throughout multiple stores

· Cleaning, pricing, and minor repairs to furnitur

· Assist customers with loading/unloading items into vehicle

· Assist employees with donations as needed

· Inspecting donations for damage/quality issues

· Keeping backroom/inventory organized

· Follow safety procedures

· Assist with inventory management

· Other duties as assigned

Experience:

· Driving large trucks

· Map reading – use of GPS systems

· Knowledge or experience Thrift Store inventory a plus but not required

Qualifications:

· Able to pass criminal background check

· Work independently and be self-motivated

· Physical strength for lifting, loading, and unloading heavy cargo

· Must be able to lift over 20 pounds

· Follow moving and lifting safety protocols

· Must possess a Washington State Driver’s License – CDL not required

· Excellent driving record

· Time management skills
