Job Responsibilities:
As a Housekeeper at Serenity Lane, you’ll play an integral role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. Your key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and maintenance: Provide cleaning services within different environments from professional offices to hospital rooms to patient living quarters and common areas. This role will professionally clean, disinfect, and maintain our campus and patient living spaces using company-provided cleaning procedures, products, and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, empty all trash receptacles, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces to include patient beds.
- Furniture and patient room care: Move reasonably portable furniture to clean underneath and behind. Utilize company provided cleaning tools in a safe manner with the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, kneel, bend, up to 20lbs, etc.
- Inventory and supplies: Replenish consumable items such as toiletries and paper products to ensure patient and staff satisfaction.
- Property inspection: Identify and report damages, create maintenance tickets as necessary, and notify management of any concerns.
- Patient experience: Ensure living quarters for patients are clean, safe, and welcoming, helping create a positive experience. Most importantly, be a service-oriented, friendly presence for all patients.
- Additional tasks: At times, this role may be asked to assist in cleaning at our nearby sister location in Eugene. Attend mandatory meetings, adhere to housekeeping metrics, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Must-have:
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Here at Serenity Lane our company standard is to provide a Drug-Free Workplace free of substances of abuse including Cannabis THC.
- Reliable transportation.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with time management skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to use the housekeeping tools provided
- Comfortability working within different cleaning environments from business offices to hospital units to patient living quarters and more.
- Interpersonal skills (Friendly, compassionate, well-spoken) and the ability to use feedback as an opportunity for self-growth.
- Ability to present self in professional, tidy manner
- Find fulfillment in cleaning and organization with a willingness to learn – no experience required, as training will be provided.
Nice-to-have:
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience, specifically in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and tools.
Success Criteria:
To be successful in this role, as a Housekeeper at Serenity Lane, you are expected to:
- Consistently meet or exceed cleanliness standards as measured by patient and staff feedback and internal audits.
- Complete assigned cleaning tasks within established timeframes without compromising quality.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and ensure they are logged accurately to support timely resolution.
- Uphold safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and effective communication.
Compensation: Starting at $17/hour.
