What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook (Part-Time) position at SERENITY LIVING CENTER, INC?
- Prepares meal ingredients as directed by the kitchen manager, assistant kitchen manager, or other staff.
- Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning.
- Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning.
- Prepares simple dishes such as breads or salads.
- Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces.
- Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
- Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
- Interact with residents and co-staff in a genuine and respectful manner.
- Support and/or provide for dietary needs of residents and children.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, support team-oriented work environments, and provides safe working environments.
- Attend and complete all required trainings, and in-services.
- Pursue professional growth and development.
- May need to deliver groceries and pick up supplies in all types of weather; including meal service.
- Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, both external and internal to Serenity.
- Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
