JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Serenity Residential Care provides residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. We provide the highest level of care and individualized support to each member (client) who resides in our home-based programs. We are looking for a Program Manager to help us achieve these goals.

The Manager reports to a member of the senior management team and partners with management to market services and design, implement, manage, and evaluate person-centered policy, services, and programming. Specific responsibilities include:

·        Overseeing budgets and daily operations for five to ten residential facilities, including supervising House Managers, each of whom have up to ten staff serving members 24/7.

·        Develop policies and procedures to ensure quality services for clients and accountability for staff

·        Designing, implementing, and managing evidence-based person-centered policy, services, and programming.

·        Evaluating effectiveness of services and programming with emphasis on member feedback to achieve continuous improvement.

·        Conducting member intake assessments and reviewing case management and health record data to determine service level needs for new members.

·        Developing and monitoring Member Function Assessment Support Plans and Behavior Management Plans as appropriate.

·        Participating in Individual Support Team (IST) and Positive Centered Plan (PCP) meetings to ensure implementation, review, and necessary modifications of Member Support Plans and Behavior Management Plans.

·        Interacting with the Maine DHHS Clinical Review Team (CRT) to negotiate approval of service units as documented in Member Support Plans and Behavior Management Plans, utilizing atrezo software

·        Maintaining overall regulatory compliance, including reportable events reporting. Documents and track incidents on Therap’s General Incident Reporting (GER), submits reports to Maine’s DHHS Enterprise Information System (EIS), and completes follow-up reports.

·        Networking with the case management, healthcare, and social services community and other professionals to ensure that residential facilities operate at capacity.

·        Managing schedules and ensuring good placement of employees for five to ten residential facilities

·        Inquiring vender call and filling vacancies and conducting the intake process

·        Supervising House Manager and training and coaching them

·        Conducting internal investigation in case of any allegation of Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation

·        Coordinating and Conducting Monthly House Managers meeting


·        Overseeing the management of the buildings and coordinate the fixing any maintenance issue with our Maintenance technician 

·        Training staff on Positive Centered Plan

·        Training Staff on member’s Positive Support Plan

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and be. 

·        Experienced in working with adults with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

·        Experienced in and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

·        Familiar with Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS), Child Protective Services) (CPS), and Adult Protective Services (ADP) regulations, policies, and IT systems and/or have experience working with or at DHHS/OADS.

·        Skilled in case management and developing, monitoring, and evaluating Member Support Plans and Behavior Management Plans.

·        Skilled in person-centered service planning with a background in serving adults with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder, including collaborating with Case Managers, DHHS, OADS, Guardians, and the Primary Care Provider Team (PCP).

·        Knowledgeable about MaineCare; Behavioral Support, Modification and Management; Client Rights; ADA; and Basic Protection.

·        Outcome oriented, organized, able to manage priorities and balance competing projects, flexible, and work collaboratively with management, staff, other professionals, and members.

·        Willing to be on call to respond to emergencies on weekends, holidays, and after hours.  This can be a frequent event as some members have critical behavioral needs.

Additional qualifications:

·        Valid Maine driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Background, criminal history check, and drug test.
  • Three references with contact information. References must include a current or previous supervisor and be familiar with candidate’s work history.

  • Upon employment, sign a statement agreeing to maintain client confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

  • PTO: Accrues at the rate of 1 hr. of time for every 40 hours worked, maxing out at 52 hours annually for sick time and accrue 6.15. hours per bi-weekly pay period for a total of 4 weeks (80 hours) per year.
