Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our mental health team. As a Psychotherapist, you will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing support in their journey toward mental wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address a range of psychological issues.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including art therapy and motivational interviewing, to facilitate healing and personal growth.
- Assess client needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients, particularly in areas such as addiction counseling and geriatrics.
- Provide case management services to ensure clients receive the necessary resources and support.
- Stay informed about current trends in psychopharmacology and incorporate relevant knowledge into treatment strategies.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential in the state of practice.
- Experience or training in art therapy is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to navigate medical records effectively.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of geriatric mental health issues is desirable.
- Proficient in case management practices and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients empathetically and effectively.
- Ability to pass any required background checks or screenings as mandated by state regulations.
