Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long term care unit as a supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality resident care and facilitating open communication between nurses, aides, and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Nurses and Assistant Directors to implement recommended changes and ensure seamless unit operations
- Supervise nurses and aides, providing guidance and support to ensure proper documentation and effective care delivery
- Assess newly admitted or readmitted residents, documenting findings in the 24-hour report and following up as needed
- Liaise between nursing staff and attending physicians, assessing the necessity of calls during off-business hours
- Ensure all supplies are readily available and equipment is functioning properly
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing; current PA Registered Nurse License
- 1 year of experience in long-term care and 1 year of experience as an RN supervisor
