Serfilco Ltd, a worldwide leading manufacturer and supplier of pumps and filters to chemical processing industries currently has a vacancy for an Filter Cartridge Production / Packaging position our Amarillo, TX, facility. This position will report to the Plant Manager and the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and professional manufacturing team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Observes cartridge being woven to detect weaving defects
Removes defects in cartridge by cutting and pulling out filling
Adjusts machine to resume weaving
Examines machine to determine cause of loom stoppage, such as warp, filling, harness breaks, or mechanical defects
Ties piece of yarn to broken end and threads yarn through eyes and warp breaks, using reed hook
Notifies appropriate person of mechanical defects
Packages completed filters into boxes
May replace empty spools of yarn with full ones on nonautomatic looms
May tend winding units attached to looms that wind filling onto quills

OTHER DUTIES

Performs all other duties as required

Requirements : QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE AND / OR TRAINING

High School diploma or GED required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
