Job Overview:
We are a WBENC and WOSB seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Account Executive to join our IT services sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT sales, with a strong understanding of the technology landscape and the ability to identify new business opportunities, build relationships, and drive revenue growth. While experience in the government sector sales is a plus. This role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including businesses of all sizes, and potentially government entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales targets for IT services, including software, hardware, cloud solutions, and managed IT services.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with clients across various industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide expert advice on the best IT solutions to meet client needs and address challenges.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with technical and project management teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions and services.
- Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software.
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to expand business contacts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in business, IT, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in IT sales, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of IT products and services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools (HubSpot, Lusha, Salesforce, Ceipal)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Government sector experience is a plus but not required.
Additional Skills (Good to Have):
- Knowledge of government procurement processes and regulations.
- Experience with B2B and B2G sales.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles in large organizations.
- Experience working with both enterprise-level and SMB client
