Job Description:
The client - Web Systems team is seeking an experienced SharePoint Front-End Developer & Trainer to support a diverse range of the agency business customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing custom front-end solutions using JavaScript, CSS, Vue.js, and SharePoint technologies, along with providing training on workflow and SharePoint technologies to internal teams.
This role involves developing user experience design prototypes, creating SharePoint-based solutions, and implementing public-facing web applications using Vue.js/Quasar. The contractor will also support business-critical systems such as the agency public websites, the agency Office Locations, the agency Vehicle Inspection Stations, and Microsoft SharePoint SE development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cross-platform SharePoint front-end solutions tailored to the agency customer requirements.
- Design and implement custom Vue.js/Quasar applications for public web content.
- Build JavaScript-based solutions, workflows, and task-tracking systems.
- Create user experience design prototypes, including curriculum, slides, videos, and interactive mockups.
- Provide SharePoint development support, including SharePoint SE development and customization.
- Conduct training sessions for the DIT Web Systems team on the latest SharePoint and workflow technologies.
- Collaborate with the Communications Office and the agency to enhance public-facing web solutions.
- Perform end-user testing to ensure the quality and usability of developed solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4 years of experience with Vue.js and Pinia for Vue.js development.
- 4 years of experience with Angular.js.
- 4 years of hands-on experience in front-end development using CSS and JavaScript.
- 4 years of experience working with SharePoint on-premise.
- Strong expertise in creating prototypes and mockups for UX design.
- Experience conducting end-user testing to validate front-end solutions.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to deliver technical workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with government agencies or public-sector projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint SE and its advanced capabilities.
- Knowledge of Quasar framework for Vue.js applications.
- Experience integrating third-party tools and APIs with SharePoint solutions.
