We are looking for a motivated Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in facility layout planning, process improvement, and production support. In this role, you will work closely with facilities (maintenance), department supervisors, and production personnel to position equipment efficiently within the factory. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the facility CAD model during our consolidation project, assisting with equipment transfer coordination, conducting time studies, and supporting engineering change requests to enhance production standards. This is a great opportunity to apply lean manufacturing concepts and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive operational efficiency.
\n- Assist with factory layout planning, working closely with various teams to position equipment.
- Maintain and update the facility CAD model as part of the consolidation project.
- Help develop and coordinate equipment transfer plans to ensure minimal impact on production and customers.
- Conduct time studies and process analysis to support production standard updates.
- Assist with engineering change requests and process improvements.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency in production cells.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to support manufacturing excellence.
- Working knowledge of CAD software (basic skills required).
- Experience or coursework in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Hands-on understanding of lean manufacturing concepts (preferred).
- Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze processes, recommend improvements, and support production initiatives.
