The Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for helping customers secure financing for their vehicle purchases while also offering and selling a range of protection products such as extended warranties, gap insurance, and maintenance plans. The F&I Manager ensures all deals are compliant with dealership policies and state/federal laws, while maximizing profitability and providing an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to arrange financing through dealership lenders and financial institutions.
- Present and sell finance and insurance products to customers, including extended warranties, service contracts, gap insurance, and aftermarket options.
- Prepare and review all finance and lease paperwork for accuracy and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Submit deals to banks and finance sources for approval and funding.
- Maintain knowledge of lending programs, requirements, and interest rates.
- Ensure all documentation is properly signed, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong relationship with lending institutions and ensure timely funding of deals.
- Educate and train sales team on finance programs and compliance procedures.
- Achieve sales goals for finance and insurance products and maintain acceptable product penetration levels.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive finance or sales, preferably as an F&I Manager.
- Strong knowledge of dealership finance and insurance processes, laws, and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in DMS and CRM systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
