What are the responsibilities and job description for the SGA Coordinator position at Serrato Corporation?
Primary Position Objective
Responsible for providing oversight of the SGA and leadership programs. Assists with coordination of all departmental activities.
Brief Description of Duties
- Works with the SGA and provides support with activities and support of leadership programs on center; coordinates the SGA program.
- Provides assistance and discusses infractions of Center rules and regulations with individual student based on Incident Reports form Residential Advisors, Instructors and other staff.
- Assists in distributing weekly restriction list to appropriate Center personnel.
- Assists in maintenance of records of all activities relating to Center discipline.
- Informs students of appropriate appointments to appear before the Disciplinary Council.
- Assists in maintaining each student’s disciplinary record.
- Informs students of required disciplinary hearings and the appropriate procedures for disciplinary decisions.
- Assists in maintaining and submitting weekly activity report, percentage of class attendance, number of infractions reports, dorm incidents, dorm cleanliness, etc.
- Assists in ensuring that students moving to another phase of program meet disciplinary guidelines.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining a liaison with juvenile and law enforcement agencies in relation to their influence on the student population.
- Assists Student Personnel Manager in all aspects.
- Works towards meeting performance management goals.
- Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Continuously helps students become more employable.
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.
- Computer Literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong knowledge of student leadership programs.
- High level of communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively.
Experience
One to two years’ related experience in Juvenile Justice or Human Services preferred
Education
High School Degree required, Associates Degree preferred.
