Substitute Academic Instructor

Job Description:

The Substitute Academic Instructor will be responsible for providing instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The instructor will follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensure that students are engaged in meaningful learning activities. The instructor will also maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher
• Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
• Ensure that students are engaged in meaningful learning activities
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students
• Communicate with school administration and regular classroom teacher as needed
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Valid teaching certificate or substitute teaching permit
• Experience working with students in a classroom setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
