What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Assistant position at Serrato Law Firm, A.P.C.?
The Intake Assistant (Immigration) will manage the potential client customer experience and assist with the onboarding of new clients. They will work under the direct supervision of the Consultation Attorney. This individual must be outgoing, organized, and able to work independently.
The Intake Assistant (Immigration) will screen initial inquiries from potential clients before scheduling an attorney-client consultation. They will be responsible for opening new client files according to internal policy.
The Intake Assistant will also serve as a Personal Assistant to the Consultation Attorney, assisting with additional tasks as needed including, but not limited to scanning documents, mailing filings, or completing other required tasks.
The ideal candidate for this role must have strong customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.
They will work under the direction of an attorney and the Client Relations Manager but should be able to work independently.
Applicants must have at least one years’ experience working in immigration law. Knowledge of Family Based Petitions, Removal Proceedings, VAWA\U-Visas, and Consular Processing procedures is preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor potential client inquiries including phone, internet, email, and other sources.
· Timely contact potential clients and establish client relationship.
· Conduct potential new client interviews.
· Assist in scheduling attorney consultation appointments.
· Diligently record notes of all client communications.
· Work with the firm’s attorneys to complete the initial consultation process.
· Open client files consistent with office policy.
· Update internal CRM and reporting systems.
· Assist in managing client relations.
· Assisting with other administrative tasks, when required.
Requirements:
· 1 or more years of immigration law experience.
· 1 or more years of customer service or sales experience.
· Basic knowledge of Family Based Petitions, Removal Proceedings, and Consular Processing
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Strong organizational skills
· Must be able write and speak in Spanish and English fluently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
