What You'll Do :

The Field Sales Representative plays a critical role in executing field strategy for Serta Simmons Bedding. This position is responsible for protecting and growing market share, improving profitability, and strengthening retailer relationships.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Driving sales activities within an assigned territory by implementing company strategy
  • Ensuring strategic alignment with key stakeholders and business partners to maximize profitability
  • Coordinating and leading training events to enhance retailer collaboration
  • Driving initiatives that increase sales and market share for the Serta Simmons Bedding product portfolio

This role is essential in fostering business growth and ensuring strong, long-term retailer partnerships.

Location : Please note that the ideal candidate will live in Jacksonville Proper ( St Augustine) area to the start of the territory.

How You'll Do It :

Communicates Effectively :

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills in one-on-one, small, and large group settings
  • Adapts training style and message to fit audience and business needs
  • Communicates product promotions, upcoming events, and new product launches effectively
  • Proactively shares best practices and actionable strategies to maximize brand performance
  • Plans and Aligns :

  • Partners with Account Management to develop and execute territory action plans to drive sales and market share
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align key tasks and provide regular updates
  • Prioritizes store visit activities to identify and execute opportunities that maximize impact, increase advocacy, and drive sales

    Drives Results :

  • Facilitates retailer Top Management partnership meetings, demonstrating commitment to joint business objectives
  • Establishes sales priorities, action plans, and participates in retailer activities / functions
  • Utilizes sales activity reporting tools to prioritize store visits and manage expense forecasts effectively
  • Recommends and structures territory sales programs to increase business opportunities
  • Provides partners with tools, strategies, and resources to improve in-store sales performance and drive profitable growth
  • Builds Relationships & Customer Focus :

  • Builds trusted relationships with top retailers to align on collaborative solutions that drive sales and brand advocacy
  • Maintains a customer-focused mindset in all territory initiatives
  • Serves as a strategic partner to build customer-centric solutions
  • Takes active ownership of assigned sales territory, responding to market needs and initiating necessary actions
  • Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with at least 2 years of training and / or retail selling experience, preferably in bedding, furniture, durables, or other premium consumer product categories
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey messages clearly and concisely
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to meet business needs
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Ability to travel 85-90% within the assigned territory, primarily day travel with occasional overnight trips
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

    The hiring salary range for this position applies to where legally required, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
