Your Role
As the Janitorial Services Supervisor, you will assist the J-Team Assistant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities for janitorial contracts and Sertoma sites, including quality control, scheduling, filling contracts as needed, and staffing supervision.
Responsibilities
Effectively communicate and coordinate with Janitorial Staff the activities, functions and daily work schedules for the department. Complete all payroll functions as it relates to staff management.
Evaluate and interview consumers for janitorial abilities and monitor their progress. This process includes pre/post tests and participation in hiring and employment status of J-team staff.
Ensure that proper training of staff on required tasks is conducted by designated personnel and monitored for competency.
Work in conjunction with the Janitorial Services Manager in conducting corrective/disciplinary action and job performance evaluations of staff supervised.
Process accurate and timely completion of documentation related to daily operations. Ensure that operations remain compliant with any external contracts.
Assist in monitoring inventories of supplies and condition of equipment, ordering supplies and equipment as needed; maintaining cleanliness of the janitorial closet, storage areas, and vans.
Assist the Janitorial Department with all Quality Control processes, measurements and reporting. Maintain updated SDS books, van books and agency manuals.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one year experience performing janitorial or maintenance skills in competitive industry.
Previous supervisory experienced is required and demonstrated ability to supervise individuals with disabilities is preferred.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurance documentation.
Employee is required to remain compliant with all state/federal, position, agency, accreditation, and funding source training/licensing requirements including but not limited to CPR/FA and CPI.
Employee is required to possess the skill and ability to utilize all applicable technology and computer programs related to his/her position.

Salary : $45,000 - $48,000
